UIC Illinois Room

This is the largest annual event for young LGBTQA adults in Chicago, boasting over 700 students in attendance at last year's ball.
“Set in the early 1900s, a small Mississippi town finds itself in the midst of understanding the recent arrival of a mysterious Northern visitor. At the same time, a young African-American boy is in search of others like himself and making sense of his existence. Decorated with Jukebox joints and traveling circus' sideshows, this show not only reclaims a classic fairy tale, but also ultimately allows the audience to understand a young boy's search for self-acceptance.".
