
Alpha Epsilon Delta is a National Honor Society for students preparing
for careers in medicine, dentistry, osteopathic medicine, optometry,
physical therapy, pharmacy, and allied health professions. It is an
affiliated society of the American Association for the Advancement of
Science, and a member of the Association of College Honor Societies.
The mission of the Society is to encourage and recognize excellence in
premedical scholarship; to stimulate an appreciation of the importance
of premedical education; to promote communication between medical and
premedical students and educators; to provide a forum for students
with common interests; and to use its resources to benefit health
organizations, charities, and the community.

Halloween Movie Night
Wednesday, October 28th, former Senator Tom
Daschle is visiting Loyola to discuss the
current healthcare reform at 7:00PM in the
Gentile Center
Tom Daschle speaks about the health care
crisis in America. He will share with the
audience his solutions and will be taking
questions from the audience. A book signing
will take place following the talk. Don't
miss this opportunity to learn more about
how healthcare reform will impact your
future career in healthcare. Currently,
College Democrats is looking for volunteers
to help with the event. This will count for

Unite For Sight, will be visiting Loyola on
Thursday, October 22nd at 6:00PM in Crown
Center Lobby
Unite For
Sight, a non-profit organization that
empowers communities worldwide to improve
eye health and eliminate preventable
blindness. In her presentation she will be
discussing "Global Health and Social
Entrepreneurship". After the event, head
over to Thai Grill, they are donating a
percentage of their profits to the Unite for
Sight organization.

is the Chairman of the Medical School Admissions Committee at Stritch,
the Director of Research for Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, and a
Professor of Pediatrics and Obstetrics/ Gynecology. This is a great
opportunity to learn more about an amazing field of medicine and ask
an admissions director questions about applying to medical school.

Come meet professors from the
Biology, Chemistry and Physics departments and find what it means to
be a pre-health student at Loyola. Dr. Jim Johnson, from the
Pre-Health Office will be there to give you important information and
answer any questions. There will also be a representative from the
Department of Continuing Education talking about new healthcare
programs that are offered at Loyola.
