Catherine Checiek
I’ve been an AED member for two years now and I am running for the 2009-2010 Fellowship Committee Chair position because I feel that it is a great way for me to become more involved in AED and a great way for me to meet other members of AED as well. I find the AED fellowship events to be especially important because not only do they give AED members the chance to meet one another, they also give busy pre-health students the chance to take a break, relax and create friendships with others who are also dealing with busy and stressful schedules. Only by bringing its members together can our AED chapter continue to remain strong and productive. Personal strengths that I would bring to this position are reliability, responsibility and working very well with others. I’m also always willing to listen to others’ suggestions and comments and I generally like to think of myself as being creative when it comes to planning events. Over the past two years I have been to the majority of AED’s fellowship events and I would love to be able to organize additional fun and interesting member get-togethers in the future.
