Alexandra Goncharenko
My name is Alexandra Goncharenko, and I am hoping to get your vote for the office of Secretary. I am currently a third year pre-pharmacy
student majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Mathematics. I have
been an active member of Alpha Epsilon Delta since my sophomore year.
AED has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding organizations to be
a part of. I have attended numerous events throughout my years as a member including representing AED at the Wheel of Fortune taping at Navy Pier, Halloween door decorating at Dumbach hall, and many more. This semester I am honored to have been selected and inducted as a National Member of AED.
I believe a Secretary should be responsible for keeping important information up to date and easily accessible. Since I am a very neat and organized person, and I never leave anything to the last moment to
complete, I possess the qualities to be an outstanding Secretary. If I
am elected as the Secretary of AED, I will work cooperatively with the
other board members to contribute to the continued growth and success of
this organization.
Juliana Yoon
As secretary for the fall 2009 semester, it will be my first priority to ensure that Alpha Epsilon Delta is effectively in accordance with its mission statement: to encourage excellence in premedical scholarship; to stimulate an appreciation of the importance of premedical education; and to work together to benefit health organizations, charities, and the community. To this day, being involved in AED has been an incredible experience; words cannot do it justice. From inviting children around the Rogers Park neighborhood to a safe trick-or-treating environment to listening to Dr. Muraskas provide a glimpse of life as a neonatologist, being a member of AED has relayed the true meaning of medicine: we are essentially one community, bringing to life the meaning of care and compassion.
I will bring the ideas of my peers to the attention of those who can put them in action. I hope to work alongside the rest of the Alpha Epsilon Delta executive board to plan additional activities for the coming year: inviting healthcare professional speakers, participating in various community service activities and field trips, and organizing fellowship events. Thank you for your consideration.
Angelika Zalewski
Hello! My name is Angelika Zalewski, currently a junior, and I would
love to serve as Secretary for Alpha Epsilon Delta for the following
school year. I have been an active member for the past two years. My
involvement includes activities such as always participating in the bake
sales, volunteering at the Community Health clinic, organizing a game
night, and Relay for Life to name a few. I believe I can add a lot to
the club as secretary. I am a very organized and detail oriented
individual that works well with others. If elected, I would aim to help
the other elected executive board members as much as possible to make
AED even more successful. In addition, I believe I am a very friendly
and approachable person that can help members as well as prospective
members learn what AED is all about. Thank you for your consideration.
