Amber Carbone
Hi! My name is Amber Carbone and I am running for the position of treasurer.

I decided to run for the treasurer position because I really enjoy AED and I think this position can make the whole organization prosper. I think the treasurer has the opportunity to bring a lot to AED, through the work that they provide. If our fundraising and money is managed well we may be able to donate to more organizations and have more big speakers come in. I have been a member of AED for the past two years, and this semester I became a national member. I have attended various events and a majority of the meetings. One of my favorite events was the House MD event that we recently had.

I think that I would make a good treasurer because I am organized, timely and neat. I would make sure the bills are paid and the paperwork is all filed. I also have experience organizing event, such as bake sales. For the past two years I was in charge of the school wide toy drive called Ho, Ho, Ho. This past fall I was on the Hunger Week Core Team as the fundraising committee chair. I was in charge of monetary donations as well as getting in contact with local businesses to donate. Currently, I am a member of The Global Medical Brigade, where I am the sponsorship chair, raising money for our organization and keeping track of the funds that we receive. My mom, is a CPA at her families accounting firm, so I guess you could say working with money runs in the family. Vote for me and I will keep our money flowing and our checks balanced!
