 Each sorority has a philanthropy, or fundraising cause, they feel
strongly about. Dedication can take
shape in raising awareness, community service, fundraisers, etc. Alpha Chi Omega is dedicated to the
fight against domestic violence.  photo: nbcf.org Alpha Chi Omega's national philanthropic priority is the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation. It provides funds that benefit the chapters directly, such as the Talking About Alcohol program, Leadershape, and Kristin's Story. Another proud altruism is the The MacDowell Colony, founded by Marian MacDowell (Zeta Chapter, New England Conservatory of Music) in 1907. This six hundred acre artist's colony not only provides the enrichment and growth of all the fine arts - writing, painting, photography, sculpture and musical composition, but also offers scholarships to attend.
