Loyola University Chicago

About us

Orientation is the key to unlocking all that Loyola has to offer when you arrive on campus this fall. And as a staff, we're committed to helping start your Loyola Experience on the right foot.

Throughout your first year, you'll focus on academics and building community. All of this begins with orientation: meeting new friends, registering for classes, learning about student activities, and getting a firsthand feel for college life.

We're looking forward to meeting you. In the meantime, get to know us!

  Bridget Wesley, MSW, Director

Bridget received her BA from Boston College and MSW from the University of Chicago. She has worked for the Office of First-Year Experience at Loyola since 2007. As a graduate of a Jesuit University, Bridget is enthusiastic about infusing all elements of First-Year Experience with a deep sense of Jesuit tradition and philosophy.

Mary King Houston, Assistant Director for Orientation

Mary received both her B.A. and M.Ed. from Loyola University Chicago. She has worked for the Office of First-Year Experience since the beginning of 2014, and has made great strides to ensure Orientation is a positive experience for all involved. As a graduate of Loyola, Mary is thrilled to welcome new students to the university and hopes students take advantage of all it has to offer.

Erin Ebbesmeyer, Student Orientation Coordinator

Erin will receive her B.S. from Loyola University Chicago in May 2015. This is her third summer working with Loyola's orientation program, and she enjoys helping all new students make Loyola their new home.
