Parent Program
Welcome to Loyola, Freshmen Parents!
We strongly encourage parents of incoming first-year students at Loyola University Chicago to attend Discover Loyola 2008. As a parent participant, you'll have a busy schedule for the day-and-a-half program. Parent sessions highlight Loyola's Jesuit Catholic heritage, academic programs and services, residence life information, financial aid and payment options, and parenting a first-year college student.
Registration
A fee of $75 per parent or guest participant covers the cost of meals and program materials for the Discover Loyola sessions. Click here to register online now. Parents may also register on-campus. Simply proceed to the Check-In when you and your student arrive for his/her scheduled orientation session.
Note: Student and parent registration is still available online for the August 20-21 orientation session.
Welcome to Loyola, Transfer Parents!
We know that your student’s experience at Loyola is important to you. Since some parents of transfer students are interested in joining their student for orientation, we welcome your participation. If you are interested in attending with your student, there is no need to register in advance. We will get you set to participate the day of Discover Loyola.
During the full-day program your student will attend sessions on most pressing concerns: health, safety, academic progress, and personal development. Your student will register for classes and get an overview of the people and resources Loyola offers new students to help them achieve success.
