Service Hours

Philosophy

Occasionally, disciplinary service hours are assigned to students who are found responsible for a violation of The Student Handbook.  Typically a student assigned DSH has adversely affected the community, intentionally or unintentionally, with his/her behavior to the point it involved the time and service of other members of the community (i.e. Residence Life staff, Campus Safety, students, etc.).  DSH is a way for a student to give back to the community, in a positive manner, and interact with positive role models in the community.

If you have been assigned DSH, you must complete all the hours by the date listed in your letter of notification.  Additionally you must provide documentation of the completion of your hours to the Office of Judicial Affairs.  Each set of hours should be documented separately on a Disciplinary Service Hour Form.  Completed forms should be returned to CFSU 100 on or before their due date.
