Graduation
- I missed the LOCUS deadline, can I still apply?
- I completed the LOCUS graduation application, now what?
- I'm not attending the ceremony. Do I need to apply?
- When will I receive my certificate?
Graduates should complete the following:
- an ABA Compliance - Graduation Audit Form
- the LOCUS graduation application process.
ABA Compliance - Graduation Audit Forms are submitted online and sent electronically to the Institute.
Certificate Order and Delivery Schedule

Certificates are ordered only 3 times within each year, at the end of each semester, and are only ordered for students who have completed the graduation application process and all program requirements.
Honors Certificate
An honors certificate is awarded if your cumulative GPA is 3.5 or higher at the time of graduation.
Commencement & December Celebration
Paralegal Studies graduates participate in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) commencement ceremonies. Further information regarding Loyola's commencement ceremonies can be found on the commencement Website.
The 2013 Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Mundelein Auditorium on the Lake Shore Campus on Saturday, May 11 at 1pm.
2013 Commencement Ceremony will include:
- December 2012 graduates
- May 2013 graduates
- August 2013 graduates
You can order your cap and gown through the commencement Website. When you pick-up your cap and gown, you should receive undergraduate apparel (maroon in color) with a gold tassel.
The 2013 Graduation Dinner will be held on May 7, 2013 starting at 6pm. Invitations to the dinner were mailed in early April. If you did not receive your invitation, send an email to paralegal@luc.edu. The 2013 Graduation Dinner will include:
- December 2012 graduates
- May 2013 graduates
- August 2013 graduates
The 2013 December Celebration will be held during the second or third week of December. Invitations for the December Celebration are mailed in early November each year.

Graduates should consider joining the IPA, if they have not already done so.
Please consider participating in the IPA's mentoring program for new paralegals. Several of our graduates have told us how helpful this program is as they start their careers. Information is available on the IPA Website.
