Application Process

The paralegal certificate at Loyola University Chicago is a post-baccalaureate certificate.

Post-baccalaureate applicants to the Institute for Paralegal Studies must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Read more about our application requirements for post-baccalaureate applicants.

Undergraduate applicants interested in applying to the B.A. in Managerial Arts & Leadership with a paralegal certificate, must submit an application to the Managerial Arts & Leadership program, be admitted to that program, and complete the required undergraduate coursework before they can begin work on their paralegal certificate. Paralegals with certificates from regionally accredited college and university programs and who wish to take additional courses must also hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
