Graduation
Loyola awards the Certificate in Paralegal Studies at the end of each semester (December, May and August).
Fall 2007 (December) Graduates
Students completing program requirements either at the end of the Fall 2007 (October) Session I or the Fall 2007 (December) Session II should submit their Graduation Application to the Institute Office no later than December 15, 2007. Applications must be either mailed or hand delivered to the Institute Office along with a $60 graduation fee. Applications will not be accepted via email or fax.
Spring 2008 (May) & Summer 2008 (August) Graduates

LOCUS Graduation Application (completed on LOCUS)

$60 Graduation Fee (payable to Loyola University Chicago)
Audit Forms must be either mailed or hand delivered to the Institute Office along with the graduation fee. Audit forms will not be accepted via email or fax.

Graduates missing the LOCUS application deadline should still submit an ABA Certificate Audit Form and the graduation fee to the Institute Office. Please be sure to check the box at the bottom of the form indicating you missed the LOCUS deadline.
Certificate Conferral
Graduates can not receive certificates until all requirements have been met and all grades have been submitted. Final grades are due on the Friday of the second week after the end of each session. Your certificate conferral will be posted to your transcript in the week following final grades submission.

Certificates are ordered only 3 times within each year.

Honors Certificate
An honors certificate is awarded if your cumulative GPA is 3.5 or higher. Graduates who graduate with honors will have this noted on their certificate.
Illinois Paralegal Association (IPA)
Graduates should consider joining the IPA, if they have not already done so.
Please consider participating in the IPA's mentoring program for new paralegals. Several of our graduates have told us how helpful this program is as they start their careers. More information is available at the IPA Website.
Commencement
The 2008 SCPS commencement ceremony will be held on May 10, 2008 at 1 p.m.

B.A./PLST Graduates
Graduates earning their undergraduate degrees in addition to their paralegal certificate should contact the School of Continuing and Professional Studies Office regarding their graduation application process. These graduates do not submit any graduation application information to the Paralegal Studies Office.
