Towing Policy
1. The decision to tow a vehicle will not be taken lightly. In most cases the Campus Police will make every effort to contact the owner/operator in an attempt to get the vehicle moved prior to towing. There are, however, certain circumstances where towing will be justified without prior notice. These include:
- Vehicles blocking a legally parked vehicle
- Vehicles parked in emergency lanes
- Vehicles blocking or obstructing traffic lanes, loading zones, postal areas, service drives, crosswalks, fire lanes, fire hydrants, handicapped spaces, and other designated traffic/parking areas.
- Vehicles illegally parked in any parking lot
- Vehicles illegally parked on Loyola property after 2:00 a.m.
- Vehicles and/or Parkers with 4 or more parking citations (whether paid, unpaid, or under appeal) will be placed on the Loyola Tow List
- Vehicles on Loyola's Tow List may be towed even if legally parked in Loyola's lots.
- Vehicles will remain on the tow list until all citations are resolved, or after approval from the Parking Office.
