Christina Johnson-Wolff: Encouraging parents' support
Since 2006, Christina Johnson-Wolff (BA '72), a University Trustee, and her husband, Richard Wolff, have served as the national co-chairs of the Parents' Leadership Council, an initiative launched to encourage parent engagement and philanthropy at Loyola.
The Parents' Leadership Council brings parents from across the country together to support the University. Members of the council act as ambassadors to engage fellow Loyola parents and help raise critical funds to support the Parents' Fund.
Under their leadership, the council has continued to grow in membership with additional support to the Parents' Fund.
"The generous support of so many parents across the country has made a lasting impact on the opportunities available on campus for undergraduate students, like our two daughters, Kaitlyn and Elizabeth," says Johnson-Wolff. "Both of our daughters continue to have an outstanding experience in their studies in the School of Nursing and the School of Business Administration. As parents, we believe strongly in the education and mission of Loyola and show our support in leading the Parents' Fund campaign."
Gifts to the Parents' Fund provides support for programs such as Evoke, which helps students explore their purpose and calling; alternative break immersions and service learning projects; and other initiatives central to Loyola's identity as a Jesuit, Catholic university.
The Wolffs host the annual parent donor brunch held during Family Weekend in September. This will be the second year of the event. This event is a gathering of all parents who have generously contributed to the Parents' Fund.
In honor of her leadership in industry, community, and service, Johnson-Wolff was awarded the 2008 Damen Award.
