PHIL 432: Heidegger
The Generic Catalog Description

Prepares students for advanced work on the thought of Heidegger.

PHIL 432: Heidegger
Adriaan Peperzak

In this seminar we will study and discuss Heidegger’s Being and Time and some of his essays that have been collected in Pathmarks (ed. William McNeill, Cambridge University Press, 1998).

We will use the Joan Stambaugh translation of Being and Time, which is published by SUNY (1996). Bring this translation, and no other, to the seminar. It is not perfect, but we must agree on the textual basis of our discussions.

A more detailed course description will be available in January.

Registration for the seminar is dependent on approval by the instructor.
