Paul Moser is Professor and Chair of Philosophy at Loyola University Chicago, where he joined the faculty in 1983 after receiving his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University. Since 2004 he has been the Faculty Director of the Loyola University Core Curriculum. He is the author and editor of numerous books, and has published over eighty articles and chapters in various journals and collections. In addition, he is the series editor for the Oxford University Press "Handbooks of Philosophy," Rowman and Littlefield's "Studies in Epistemology and Cognitive Theory," and Routledge's "Contemporary Introductions to Philosophy." His research interests include epistemology, metaphilosophy, and philosophy of religion.
Among his writings are the following books: The Elusive God: Reorienting Religious Epistemology (Cambridge University Press, 2008); Philosophy after Objectivity (Oxford University Press, 1993); Knowledge and Evidence (Cambridge University Press, 1989); and Empirical Justification (Kluwer/Reidel, 1985). He is currently writing a book entitled The Evidence for God: Religious Knowledge Reexamined (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming), and he is Editor of the American Philosophical Quarterly.
