Kenneth J. Thompson, Jr., is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Loyola University. His Ph.D. is from Columbia University, and he holds a B.A. from Yale University and a B.D. from Union Theological Seminary. Before coming to Loyola in 1967, he taught at DePauw University in Indiana. He has also taught at Loyola's Rome Center, and served the department as chairperson and later as director of graduate studies.
Dr. Thompson's research interests include the philosophy of religion, process philosophy (especially Whitehead), the philosophy of mind, Descartes and Hume. He has written Whitehead's Philosophy of Religion and articles on various philosophical topics.
