Loyola's Graduate School makes fostering interdisciplinary, international, and outreach programs a priority. The school awards significant grants to support global research initiatives, linking Loyola graduate faculty and students to a network of scholars in Latin America, Central America, East Africa, and the Caribbean Basin.
The Graduate School also offers community-based internships that connect graduate students to business, industry, and non-profit organizations in the Chicago area, furthering relationships with our dynamic community.
In the past academic year, the Graduate School increased financial support for graduate students and held professional development seminars on topics such as grant writing, dissertation writing, and teaching effectiveness. The school also sponsored an interdisciplinary seminar on public health to showcase Loyola's remarkable resources in this area. The seminar emphasized communication among disciplines and schools across all three Chicagoland campuses, and addressed the complex intellectual, social, and political dimensions of public health.
The Graduate School is dedicated to stretching disciplinary boundaries and providing its students with an innovative and relevant graduate education.
