Spina Bifida Walk and Roll-a-thon

We are glad to report that the annual Illinois Spina Bifida Association (ISBA) walk and roll-a-thon was a huge success and, as always, a lot of fun! Volunteers, walkers, and rollers, gathered in Villa Park, Illinois to raise money for a terrific cause. The weather was perfect for this year's event and everyone enjoyed the beautiful tree-lined path along the 10K route. As has been the tradition in the past, the fun did not end with the completion of the 10K. Special features of this year's event included two massage stations, free hotdogs and home-baked chocolate chip cookies, a visit from the local fire department (no emergency…it was just for fun!), face painting, and of course, several door prizes. Our research team continues to participate in this walk every year as a way of giving back to you, the families who have given us your time and energy over the years. Out of the 10 years that we've participated, we have raised enough money to get trophies 8 times! It also gives us a great chance to interact with you in a fun and relaxing setting. We look forward to seeing you at next year's event. We just can't stop thinking about those massage tables… If you would like to come join us next year, contact the Illinois Spina Bifida Association, 1-800-969-ISBA.
