Mission Statement
In support of Loyola's Jesuit tradition of educating the whole person and the mission of the Quinlan School of Business to develop values-based leaders, we foster the career development process through comprehensive career services and resources.
Our mission of service includes:

Educating the students and alumni of the Quinlan School of Business about the career development process

Collaborating with the Quinlan School of Business faculty and partnering with the business and greater community.

A center for cultivation of the most developed network of internships, job opportunities, and alumni in the Chicago market and nationally.
Goals
At Business Career Services, we pledge to work with and support currently enrolled, degree-seeking students and alumni in:

Identifying, assessing and understanding their interests, values, skills, abilities and personal characteristics as they relate to their career development

Taking personal responsibility for developing their job-search competencies, employment plans and career decisions

Gathering and maintaining up-to-date occupational information and resources to facilitate career planning and to develop an understanding of the world of work

Acquiring experience through student groups and activities, community service, internships, experiential learning opportunities and other opportunities;

Linking them with employers, professional organizations and associations and other alumni to help identify and develop professional interests and competencies and explore future career opportunities;

Developing necessary job-search skills to be a successful candidate and helping them understand the link between personal competencies and job specific requirements; and
-
Finding suitable employment opportunities or entry into graduate and/or professional school.
