Managing Innovations in Corporations (ISOM 799)
Innovation is increasingly the source of sustainable competitive advantage for firms around the world. However, building an organization to successfully and repeatedly bring business and technology innovations to market is a daunting challenge. The MBA course focuses on the practices and processes that managers use to manage innovation programs effectively within the corporate setting. The course examines four aspects of innovation: exploring, developing, commercializing, and managing.
Strategic Use of Information Technology (INFS 493)
This MBA course focuses on the use of Information and Information Technology (“I.T.”) domains in order to create competitive advantages in the market place. It introduces different strategy approaches dealing with change due to information technology, e.g., Big Data, Social Media, and Cloud Computing. The course focuses on the application of a number of well-known methods used in strategic planning to the information (-technology) intensive environments.
Business Information Systems (INFS 247)
This undergraduate course focuses on how businesses use information technology to support their business processes. In addition to learning about the purpose and composition of information systems and the ways various areas of business use information, students will receive hands-on experience developing business applications with business software.
