Managing Partner, Gary Jet Center
Lynn Eplawy is Managing Partner of The Gary Jet Center (GJC), a fixed based operator servicing the private aviation needs of the Chicagoland area. With over 11 years of experience in general aviation, Lynn manages and directs communications and strategic planning for GJC’s five internal aviation departments, ensuring consistent growth and exceptional customer service.
From their headquarters at the Gary/Chicago International Airport, GJC provides 24/7 service of private and corporate aircraft, including fueling and hangar services. Additionally, GJC manages ten jet aircraft on an FAA-charter certificate with worldwide operational approval and maintains an FAA-maintenance Repair Station Certificate.
Lynn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Miami University. She lives with her husband and two small children in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. Since 2008, she has served on the Horizons for Youth Board of Directors, a non-profit committed to helping Chicago area students achieve success. Lynn also serves on the Loyola University Chicago Family Business Center Board of Directors.
Mary Kay Mudd-Buschonville
Director, Mudd Advertising
Mary Kay Mudd is an integral leader of Mudd Advertising, a Chicago based Advertising and Marketing firm. Mudd Advertising was founded in 1981 by her father, Jim Mudd, Sr and today the company has three locations with more than 170 employees nationwide. Five of Mr. Mudd’s six children now oversee Mudd Advertising’s daily operations and growth.
Over the last 5 years Mary Kay Mudd has led her family’s agency by spearheading their expansion through her dual role as Director of New Business and Director of Internal Marketing. These new business initiatives for the company allowed Mrs. Mudd to launch and manage a new successful division to the family business- Mudd Academics. Mudd Academics focuses on direct marketing & interactive services to higher education institutions that support their academic, alumni, athletic and advancement departments.
Mary Kay Mudd and her family are also strong supporters and participants in the Loyola Family Business program.
Mary Kay is also a member of Family Business International’s Next Generation Committee and a member of the Executive Board of Family Business International.
Previous to her employment at Mudd, Mary Kay worked for Abbott Laboratories in various marketing roles for over eight years.
Mary Kay is a graduate of Saint LouisUniversity with a degree in Public Policy studies.
Mary Wall Yeager
Director and Owner, Wall Family Enterprise
Mary Wall Yeagerserved as a Director of the Wall Family Enterprise Board from 2007-October 2009 and the Library and Education Companies operating Board from 2005-October 2009 until stepping down due to term limits. Wall Family Enterprise is a $180M holding company for six companies owned by a 10 sibling family team: 3 library and education companies in the U. S. and 3 companies located in the United Kingdom. Mary chaired the Compensation Committee of the Enterprise and Operating boards and was a member of the Governance Committee of the WFE board until October 2009. Prior to joining the board, Mary worked with her father and two siblings as an elected family representative to the WFE businesses, as a leader in stewardship and governance, for over 10 years.
Most recently, Mary served as Human Resources Director for Daybreak Foods, Inc., a multi-state food products company. She served as Corporate Compensation Manager for Cuna Mutual Insurance Company, a $1B global financial services firm from 1988-1997. Prior experience in a variety of industries included serving as a Human Resource Manager for RAYOVAC Corporation, Nicolet Instrument Corporation and Carnes Corporation from 1979-1988.
Mary received an Executive MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1988. Mary is a committed advocate of family businesses and has been an active member of Loyola Family Business Center since its inception, where she enjoys participating in forums, task forces and speaker panels. She is also an active member in the University of Wisconsin-Family Business Center. Mary previously served as an advisor and board member with other boards in Madison, Wisconsin and currently serves on the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation Board.
Mary’s husband, James H. Yeager, is a partner in M3 (Mortenson, Matzelle, and Meldrum, Inc.) a financial services firm headquartered in Madison, WI. They have two teenage children who keep them humble and with whom they enjoy many adventures!
