Call For Proposals for 2013
The Center for International Business (CIB) and Center for Risk Management(CRM) are soliciting interdisciplinary proposals from LUC full-time faculty for research on issues related to international business and managing related business risks.
We invite researchers to send proposals for consideration by our panel of judges. The two Centers will provide grants of up to $6,000 for two selected research proposals. The term of the grants will be 12 months, starting March 1, 2013 and ending in February 28, 2014. Papers resulting from the accepted proposals will appear as working papers on the CIB and CRM websites, published as a monograph by the Quinlan School of Business and researchers will be invited to present to the Loyola University Chicago community in the Spring 2014. The rights to research and publications will remain with the researchers.
Proposals must address the benefits and challenges of international business while controlling for business risk in the 21st century. We encourage a) interdisciplinary proposals, linking faculty from across departments and campuses in collaborative partnerships, b) proposals which involve Quinlan faculty and students, and c) proposals which demonstrate that this seed grant will be used to apply for future external grants under one of the Centers.
