All Quinlan School of Business graduates within the academic year are recognized at the Quinlan School of Business commencement ceremony in May. Students completing their degree at other times of the year will receive their diplomas after all course requirements are complete. All students must complete a full graduation application according to specified deadlines to receive their diplomas at the end of the quarter in which they anticipate completing their degree.
Graduation Application Deadlines

Students must complete a graduation application in LOCUS to receive their diploma at the end of the quarter which they anticipate compeleting their degree. The graduation application in LOCUS can be found at "Academics" and "Apply for Graduation."
After completing the online graduation application, students will receive an email from the Quinlan School of Business confirming that their application was received and will also receive a graduation audit. This will be sent to your LUC email. It is the student's responsibility to make sure he/she has met all requirements for their degree. If there is a discrepancy in the graduation audit and your records, you must contact the Quinlan School of Business office immediately.
Students who do not apply by the deadline for the term in which they will complete degree requirements will not be eligible to receive a degree until the following term. Please note that LOCUS will not allow you to apply for the graduation term beyond the deadline. Late applicants must apply for the next available quarter.
Students who are applying for graduation for fall 2010 or winter 2010 quarters (and all subsequent quarters) will be charged a one-time matriculation fee of $100.00 directly to their student account. This one-time charge replaces the old graduation fee and will be posted to student accounts in fall 2010.
All Quinlan School of Business graduates within the academic year are recognized at the Quinlan School of Business commencement ceremony in May of that year. All Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer graduates will receive information about the ceremony to their LUC email.

The commencement ceremony is held on the Lake Shore campus and tickets are required for guests. Details are sent to students eligible to participate and may also be found at: www.luc.edu/commencement.

Students graduating with a GPA of 3.41 or higher are invited by the Quinlan School of Business to apply for Beta Gamma Sigma, the international Business Honors Society (www.betagammasigma.org). Qualified spring and summer quarter graduates are invited to apply each spring, and fall and winter quarter grads are invited to apply each fall. Students graduating with a GPA of 4.0 will be recognized with High Dean's Honors. Those with a GPA of 3.9 will earn Dean's Honors. Certificates will be mailed to Dean's Honors recipients after completion of their degrees.
Health Insurance Information
Loyola University graduate students enrolled for 8 or more credit hours are required to have individual health care insurance. If you are registered for 8 or more hours in fall quarter, you will automatically be enrolled in the university health insurance program unless you provide proof of other health insurance coverage. If you are taking less than 8 hours or if you are enrolled in more than 8 hours in any quarter other than fall and want to enroll in the health insurance, you must opt-in by the deadline. If you are charged for the insurance but are covered under another medical insurance plan, or have an individual policy in place, then you must complete a waiver to opt out of the plan to avoid unwanted charges on your tuition bill. If you do not waive the insurance by the deadline, it is understood that you are choosing to enroll in an insurance program. Your money will not be refunded. Opened in Fall 2006, Baumhart Hall is a state-of-the-art facility that houses graduate, professional, and upper-level undergraduate students just steps from classrooms, libraries, and Michigan Avenue. Personal Academic Plan
Prior to beginning the Advanced Leadership Core or concentration/general elective courses, students should submit an academic plan for their intended advanced leadership core and elective courses. This brife, non-binding plan should identify the student's career goals and explain how the chosen advanced leadership and elective courses support those goals. Here are a few examples:

Student Business Cards
The following requirements apply to student business cards:
- Only the student's Loyola University Chicago e-mail address may appear on the card. Any application with another e-mail address will not be processed.
- Only Loyola University Chicago Website addresses may appear on the card. Again, any application with another Web address will not be processed.
- Business cards are printed only in the format approved by the university (see order form).
- If the university's official name or logo is compromised in any way on the student business card, the Quinlan School of Business and the university may take disciplinary action.
- The ordering/printing process takes 14-21 days.

To order Loyola University Chicago graduate student business cards:
- Fully complete the order form. Orders will not be processed without a check made payable to: Loyola University Chicago Printing Services.
- Please send both the order form and check to: Suite 204, Quinlan School of Business, 1 E. Pearson, Chicago, IL 60611
The Quinlan School of Business will send on to Loyola's Printing Services only properly completed order forms. Printing Services then prepares a proof, which is faxed back to the Quinlan School of Business. The student is contacted (via Loyola e-mail or by phone) to review and approve the proof. The Quinlan School of Business then sends in the final request for the cards to be printed.
Completed cards are shipped back to the Quinlan School of Business, which will again contact the student about pick-up; cards that are not picked up within 30 days are destroyed.
