Spring to Summer Housing Transition
There are two options available for residents who will be transitioning into summer housing from their current spring assignment.
Option 1 – Residents who are able to stay on campus during the break period
Residents who wish to move directly from their spring assignment into their summer housing assignment may do so during the break period between spring semester closing (May 9th) and summer opening (May 20th). If you choose this option, you will need to stay on campus until your summer assignment is ready. Once your assigned summer room is ready, you will be given 48 hours to complete your move. We expect these moves to happen as soon after closing as possible.
Option 2 - Residents who intend to leave campus during the break period
If you have made plans to go on vacation or leave campus during the interim, you will need to move out of your spring assignment on the hall closing day. You will need to store your items at a friend’s or in a private storage facility until the summer school housing opening day. On May 20th at noon the halls will open and you will be allowed to move into your summer assignment. Any items left in your room after hall closing will be considered abandoned property. We are unable to provide any storage options for students in the summer halls.
