Student Office Assistant
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and provide courteous and accurate information and/or direct calls to appropriate staff or departments
- Greet visitors to the Residence Life Office
- Help maintain student housing files
- Assist with special projects
- General office assistance as needed
Requirements
- An undergraduate student currently enrolled at Loyola University Chicago
- Effective communication skills
- Past office experience a plus
Furniture Crew
Responsibilities
- Movement of Furniture, Equipment and Supplies.

Move furniture, equipment and supplies to and from residence halls, storage areas and other loactions as needed.

Assemble and and set up furniturein student rooms and common areas in accordance with a standard furnishing plan.

Inventory and Maintenance of Furniture and Equipment.

Implement an inventory system for all department furniture and equipment. Tag items and update inventory records

Conduct regular inventory counts of items in storage.

Conduct periodic inventory of furniture in student rooms, lounges and other common areas in the residence halls.

Organize storage areas for efficient use of space and protection of furniture and equipment from damage and theft.

Identify and tag furniture and equipment requiring repair.

Identify and dispose of furniture and equipment damaged beyond repair.

Conduct minor, non skilled repairs and cleaning of furniture and equipment as needed.

Assist With Housing Operations.
- Inventory keys.
- Assemble materials and packets for informational mailings to students and parents.
- Other duties as Assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a current Loyola Student
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and be in good physical condition.
- Must have proof of medical insurance.
- Must have good driving record, no record of criminal law violations and no university conduct issues within the past 12 months.
Required Attire
- Work boots or other heavy duty foot ware. Steel toed work boots recommended. Sandals and other open toe foot ware not allowed.
- Work gloves.
- Jeans and t-shirt. The work requires physical exertion and clothing is likely to get soiled
