Begin your Loyola experience by making friends while kayaking rivers and lakes of the Midwest. If you have always wanted to go exploring and now want to ease your transition into college, this trip is for you. No outdoor experience is necessary. You will spend your time sea kayaking, learning essential outdoor living skills, and cooking gourmet backcountry meals, all while living in a sustainable and responsible way. Led by upper class students and Loyola staff members, you will quickly make long lasting relationships and gain knowledge about Loyola that will greatly aid you as you begin your next adventure on campus. The cost of $350.00 includes group equipment, kayak rental, transportation from campus, tent camping, permit fees and meals while in the field. Don’t let cost be a deciding factor – scholarships are available. You are responsible for purchasing two meals en route and acquiring your personal gear and clothing.
