Judge Kendall: Eleanor Roosevelt Lecture Series
On 16 September, 2013, Judge Ginny Kendall, district judge for the Northern District of Illinois, regaled students with stories of her development and what she owes to Jesuit education. As an expert on human trafficking, she tried the first internet abduction case and “had no idea what [she] was doing!” She credits much of her success to her intuition as a mother and to the sense of determination and social awareness developed at Loyola University.
She also brought two of her three children, both of whom attended JFRC. They both encouraged students to make the most of their time in Rome. Judge Kendall’s son said it best: “I did more growing up here (at JFRC) than I did in my three other years of college.”
