Location and Monte Mario Neighborhood
The JFRC is located in the upper Balduina district on Monte Mario, Rome's highest hill. The JFRC's multi-level, residential complex is set in the midst of five beautiful acres of land. The neighborhood is home to affluent diplomats, senators, judges and other distinguished families.The Rome Center is two blocks from the nearest bus stop (990), north of the Vatican 20 minutes by bus or 40 minutes on foot, and northwest of downtown (Roma Centro) 35-45 minutes by bus.
Just a few minutes walking from the Rome Center are grocery stores, cafes and restaurants, banks or ATM machines, bakeries, a post office, a salon, UPIM (sells towels, toiletries, etc.) and other small businesses.

Student Orientation
During a comprehensive orientation at the beginning of each academic term, students get to know the campus, each other and the city of Rome through city tours, cultural lectures and social activities. Staff members also provide students with important tips about safely navigating the Eternal City's intricate byways.
