AACSB Accreditation

Loyola University Chicago's School of Business Administration is proud to be accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International.

Less than one-third of U.S. business school programs and only 15% of business school programs worldwide meet the rigorous standards of AACSB International accreditation.  This distinction is an achievement requiring a tremendous amount of effort. It's worth it.

What the accreditation means -

AACSB International Accreditation continuously challenges the School of Business Administration (SBA) to perform at the highest level.  The AACSB International accreditation informs the world that the SBA manages our resources to achieve a vibrant and relevant mission of commitment to educating the whole person and excellence in business education.  The accreditation speaks to faculty scholarship, high-caliber teaching of quality and current curricula, and meaningful interaction between students and faculty.

Loyola University Chicago is proud to have both our School of Business Administration and Graduate School of Business programs accredited along with our Accounting program.

Why accreditation is important –

The AACSB accreditation distinguishes the SBA program from other business programs.  The AACSB accreditation informs perspective students, faculty, and employers that Loyola University Chicago produces graduates who are prepared to succeed in the business world and lead extraordinary lives.

How accreditation is done -

To maintain accreditation Loyola University Chicago's business program must undergo a rigorous internal review every five years, at which the program must demonstrate its continued commitment to the 21 quality standards relating to faculty qualification, strategic management of resources, interactions of faculty and students, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and achievement of learning goals in degree programs.  The accounting accreditation requires the satisfaction of an additional set of 15 standards that are specific to the discipline and profession of accounting.
