Dean's Welcome
On behalf of the School of Business Administration and the Graduate School of Business at Loyola University Chicago, I am pleased to welcome current and future students, alumni, donors, and our many friends from the Chicago area and beyond.
Our graduate and undergraduate programs are firmly grounded in Loyola’s Jesuit tradition, reflecting the pursuit of excellence combined with a commitment to service, values, and leadership. This tradition is a source of stability as today’s turbulent economic and sociopolitical conditions create challenges for business and business education. In response to these challenges, we provide a multitude of opportunities for students to study in innovative ways so that they are prepared for professional and personal success.
Our collaborative, interdisciplinary approach encourages students to engage in real-world projects, eye-opening study abroad opportunities, and enriching organizations on campus in which they form lasting bonds with peers and faculty members. Our faculty members are accomplished teacher-scholars with outstanding academic credentials and, together with our talented professional staff, are dedicated to students’ success. Further, many of our distinguished alumni contribute to student development by providing mentoring, internships, career opportunities, and other valuable support.
Our website offers more detailed information about the principles upon which Loyola's School of Business Administration and Graduate School of Business are based and the many opportunities we provide. I welcome your comments and suggestions and look forward to seeing you on campus in the near future.
Kathleen A. Getz, Dean
