Minor in International Business

Non-SBA students who wish to expand their skills in international business may elect to pursue a minor in this field. The requirements are 18 credit hours in international business courses. 

Student should take one of the following:

  • ANTH 102. Introducation to Cultural Anthropology
  • ANTH 271. World Cultures

Two courses from the following:

  • ACCT 201 Introductory Accounting I
  • ECON 201 Principles of Economics I (Micro)
    ECON 202 Principles of Economics II (Macro)
  • ISOM 247 Computer Concepts and Applications
  • MARK 201 Fundamentals of Marketing
  • MGMT 301 Managing People and Organizations

And, three 300-level international business courses.

SBA students who wish to pursue a minor in international business must complete either ANTH 102 or ANTH 271, and three 300-level international business courses.

All courses must be passed with at least a "C-" grade. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA for the minor. Two courses that count toward the minor may also count toward another SBA major or minor.

The minor also includes a foreign language requirement. Students must have completed four years of the same language in high school (through the 104 level) or three years of the same language in high school (through the 103 level) with a study abroad experience.
