Management is the study and practice of how to utilize and integrate the knowledge, skills and talents of individuals for the purpose of achieving superior organizational performance. The management major provides students with a theoretical and practical foundation for effective and responsible leadership in both entrepreneurial and established business enterprises. The Department of Management offers a broad and flexible curriculum based on multiple disciplines that prepares students to develop business goals, strategies and tactics, and to implement them in well-functioning business organizations. Through a focus on leadership, the department seeks to prepare students to become responsible business leaders with the potential to achieve both personal and organizational success. The faculty is committed to high-quality teaching and research in management, and is dedicated to creating a supportive student environment for personal development and ethical reflection.
