Academic Advising
Academic advising in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) is an integral part of our larger mission of promoting your academic success. Academic advisors assist you with any academic matter, including:
- Accessing important academic information
- Applying transfer credits to your degree
- Connecting to other university offices
- Course selection and registration
- Degree planning and progress toward graduation
- Resolving problems that affect your academic performance
- Understanding university policies and procedures
Advisors are located in SCPS in Lewis Towers 401 on the Water Tower Campus. Please schedule an appointment with an advisor by contacting 312-915-6501 (phone), 312-915-6508 (fax) or scps@luc.edu.
Students are encouraged to actively participate in the advising process. Keep a copy of your degree audit and bring any questions regarding your programs to your advisor. You also can obtain course descriptions, information on degree programs and a schedule of courses in the SCPS office.
