Megan Barry
Director

While overseeing the many great CSA programs, Megan particularly facilitates post-graduate volunteer discernment, Team Loyola at the annual AIDS Run & Walk, and Loyola’s delegation to the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice. She is also an adjunct faculty member in the M.A. in Social Justice & Community Development program at Loyola’s Institute of Pastoral Studies. Megan received an M.A. and an M.S.W. from Boston College, with a focus on social justice, community organizing and policy. She holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Her own career path involved 3 terms as an AmeriCorps volunteer, where she came to appreciate the power of campuses and local communities uniting to make change. She was born and raised in South Carolina and wishes that her 8 nieces and nephews lived a little closer to Chicago!

Trevor Van Dyke

Trevor is the current AmeriCorps VISTA through Illinois Campus Compact. He manages Loyola4Chicago, the St. Thomas of Canterbury Soup Kitchen, and is happy to help you find and engage with local organizations. Trevor is passionate about community empowerment. He received his BA from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA and hails from Texas. Not satisfied with only traveling far and wide through the US, Trevor most recently lived and taught north of Seoul, Korea. In his free time Trevor enjoys talking about music, his budding love affair with Chicago, and your favorite book."

Jessica Young
Jumpstart Site Manager

As Site Manager for the Jumpstart program in the CSA, Jessica oversees five teams of Loyola students who provide a supplemental early language and literacy development program in five preschools in Rogers Park. She first worked for Jumpstart in the San Francisco Bay Area, both as a Site Manager at UC-Berkeley and as an Associate Program Director in the Northern California Regional Office, before managing the Loyola program. Jessica began her career in the nonprofit sector as an AmeriCorps VISTA with Washington, D.C.’s literacy coalition. She earned her B.S in Education from Northern Illinois University, and is looking forward to furthering her education when she begins her graduate program in Public Administration at the University of Illinois-Chicago this fall. When not at work, Jessica loves exploring Chicago’s many fabulous neighborhoods on foot with her husband and 3-year old daughter.

Banke Adeniji

As the CSA’s Graduate Assistant, Banke facilitates the Hunger Week Team, coordinates the annual CSA Start the Fire Retreat, and manages the CSA’s social media presence.
