Cheryl McPhilimy

Cheryl McPhilimy joined the School of Communication as Director of Internship and Career Services in Fall 2010.

Since 2006, McPhilimy has served as an adjunct instructor teaching CMUN 265 Introduction to Public Relations, a course she continues to teach.  She is president of McPhilimy Associates, a public relations and executive spokesperson coaching firm she founded in 1995.  Over the years, McPhilimy Associates has hired more than a dozen Loyola interns and several full-time employees. 

“I know firsthand – as an employer and as an instructor – what Loyola students have to offer,” said McPhilimy.  “They are committed, have solid skills and are enthusiastic about making a difference.”

McPhilimy is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich., and has worked in broadcast and print journalism and in both advertising and public relations agencies.
