Sabine Schramm joined the staff of the Department of Communication as administrative assistant in 2006, after 15 years of working in various editorial roles at financial industry trade publications and news websites.

As editorial assistant for Pensions & Investments published by Crain Communications Inc., Chicago, she handled office administration, financial industry databases, generated independent research, as well as reporting and writing for both the biweekly publication and its daily newsletter. In 2000 she joined HedgeWorld.com as associate editor research and was promoted to managing editor for the online news content of the fledgling dot com. At HedgeWorld she oversaw the reporting staff and managed the daily online news content and weekly newsletters.

Schramm earned her undergraduate degree as a returning adult student; graduating with honors in 1986 from the University Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in Communication Arts: Radio, Television and Film.

An avid outdoor enthusiast and member of the Sierra Club, Schramm enjoys traveling and discovering the world one foot step at a time. “Though my first love has always been film, life has always offered me many other interesting paths to follow, and I’ve tried a few.”
