About

Ashbrock joined the School of Communication in January 2012. In her role as partnership coordinator, she served as the main liaison between the School of Communication and several partner high schools to develop journalism and digital media programs. Ashbrock now manages the special programs and events of the school – you’ll find her planning annual programs like Career Week and the Career & Internship Fair, the High School Digital Media Workshop and the Symposium on Digital Ethics, among other projects.

She is a proud double alumna of Loyola University Chicago, with a Master's of Education in Higher Education and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She also attended the John Felice Rome Center.

Ashbrock also serves as an editorial assistant for the Journal of Critical Scholarship on Higher Education and Student Affairs, a student-run, open-access journal that provides a venue for international, interdisciplinary scholarship that examines higher education and student affairs through the explicit use of critical frameworks.

In her spare time, you can find Ashbrock attempting to travel to all 50 states (41 down!), reading and writing, volunteering with high school students, and hiking in the National Parks.
