Newly admitted MSW students have 3 days from their acceptance into Loyola University Chicago School of Social Work (SSW) to request transfer credit for work completed at a previous accredited college or university.  Students must submit a transcript (official or unofficial), course description or syllabus for each course that that they are requesting transfer credit consideration for. 

 The following students will be considered eligible for transfer credit:

1.   Students who have received a Bachelor's degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program. 

2.   Students who have taken graduate level social work classes in a CSWE accredited program, but who have not received a Master's degree.

Students who have been awarded a Master's degree in some other discipline that included social work courses are not eligible as the same graduate level courses cannot count toward two different Master's degrees.

or send a fax to 312-915-7090, Attn: Academic Advisor Coordinator. 

The review process can take up to 30-45 days, and an email will be sent to students’ Loyola email address informing them of the outcome.
