The M.S.W. degree at Loyola offers opportunities for advanced practice skills in Clinical Social Work or Leadership and Development in the Social Services. Students interested in the clinical track can specialize in health, children and families, schools, and mental health. The leadership and development track emphasizes skills in non-profit management, grant-writing, staff supervision, and program development.

Application Information
Applications are welcome year round for the regular MSW program. We have no application deadlines and students can opt to start in the Summer, Fall, or Spring semesters. Application requirements and instructions can be found by clicking here.
Degree Requirements
The MSW program requires completion of 60 credit hours which includes two internships. The 1st internship is 480 hours and the 2nd internship is 720 hours for a total of 1200 internship hours.
Curriculum
The MSW program is broken down into foundation level classes and advanced practice classes. Foundation level courses are required by everyone. Advanced Practice classes are taken according to specialization area and electives.
