The BSW/MSW 5 year program is an accelerated MSW program for only those students who are in Loyola’s BSW program. Students begin taking graduate courses during their senior year. In order to qualify, students must have maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA overall and a 3.25 overall in BSW courses.

Application Information
Loyola BSW students apply to be in the 5 year program during their junior year as an undergrad. Applicants to the 5 year program must apply by January 1st of their Junior year to qualify. Application requirements and instructions can be found by clicking here.
Degree Requirements
The MSW program requires completion of 60 credit hours which includes two internships. The 1st internship is 480 hours and the 2nd internship is 720 hours for a total of 1200 internship hours. Students will begin the MSW program as seniors while still paying undergraduate tuition.
Curriculum
Students are able to choose a specialization area from one of the following – children and families, mental health, health, schools, or leadership and development.
