Spring 2013 Sessions

Meeting Dates

All enrolled MSW students are required to attend a Program Planning Advising Meeting (PPM) each semester they are registered for classes at Loyola, except for the summer term. Program Planning Meetings provide MSW students an opportunity to meet in person with an academic advisor. Students graduating at the end of the Spring 2013 term do not need to attend a Spring PPM. 

Spring and Summer 2013 graduates will attend a graduation meeting in May 2013, in lieu of attending a PPM. Students in this group should refer to their graduation audit which was either given in person or via email to the student during the Fall 2012 term.

All students are required to RSVP their intent to attend a PPM by sending an email to SSW-Advising@luc.edu.  Please note the RSVP closes 24 hours prior to the scheduled PPM date. Your email must include the following information:

•   Name (as it appears in LOCUS- no nicknames)
•   Date and time of the PPM you plan to attend
•   Student ID number
•   Phone number

Summer 2013 MSW registration begins on Thursday, Febuary  11, 2013 and the Fall 2013 MSW registration begins April 11, 2013. Students are required to attend a PPM prior to April 11, 2013 in order to register for Fall 2013. 

Students should review their LOCUS accounts for any pending holds to ensure they have met the requirements to register. Students who do not attend a PPM will have the opportunity to attend a Saturday PPM, after registration has begun and other students have enrolled in classes.

Students are required to email their academic advisor with the date and time of the PPM they attended so their advisor can update their checklist. 

PPM NOTES

• Students are not required to attend a meeting facilitated by their assigned advisor.
• Students only need to attend ONE meeting in both the Fall and Spring.
• Student should attend a PPM before setting up an individual appointment with their assigned advisor.
• If students cannot attend a PPM, they should contact their Academic Advisor to discuss alternative options for advising. 

How do you find out your enrollment appointment (what date/time you register)?  Login to LOCUS with your UVID and password. When you have logged in to the system, click on the hyperlink "View Appointments" and the date and time to begin your registration for the term will be displayed. Spring enrollment appointments will generally appear 2 weeks prior to registration.
