Objectives:

• Understanding the application of different

intervention modalities to work with older adults, couples, families, and groups

• Developing improved decision making regarding choices of modalities in work with older adults

• Developing skills to integrate methods and

modalities in work with older adults and families regarding care plans, management of chronic illness, dementia, and more

Itinerary

Day 1~ Aug 4th.  Narrative and storytelling.

Day 2 ~ Aug 5th. Cognitive behavioral interventions ..forming relationships and completing tasks

Day 3 ~ Aug 6th. Psychodynamic interventions..using relationships as a vehicle for Chang

Day 4 ~ Aug 7th. Creativity ..use of music, art, writing and improvisational techniques

Day 5 ~ Aug 8th. Integrative methods in the creation of a program

 

Fees:

General admission: $90/day

Alumni: $60/day

Field instructors or Adjunct faculty: $30/day
