Loyola University Chicago is approved by the Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional Board (ICDVP) and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) as a CEU provider.
The workshop includes the following objectives:
- Current knowledge on men who batter
- Review research on factors influencing abusive behaviors
- Discuss common traits/typologies
- Overview of Partner Abuse Program Services
- Cultural factors in domestic violence
- Challenges in serving aggressors
- Learn about current literature on the Latino man who batters
- Current interventions and theoretical orientations
