Family and School Partnerships Program

Integrative Seminar (Consultation Groups)

All seminars are led by FSPP faculty with ten to thirty years experience in school-based mental health practice. Goups meet biweekly for two-hour sessions throughout the academic year in five Chicago area locations. All consultation group leaders are led by facilitators who meet IDPR requirements for LCSW licensure.  Attendance in integrative seminars over two years satisifies the LCSW/LCPC requirements for licensure.

The following will be covered in the consultation groups:

- Strength-based assessment and practice
- Resilience-building
- Techniquies of intervention, both preventive and remedial
- Collaboration at all levels including families, school staff, community agencies, religious institution, etc
