Submission Guidelines

Submission Guidelines

The Editorial Board welcomes manuscripts from School of Social Work students that provide insight into clinical, policy, and research issues in the field of social work. Journal submissions can be class papers, research projects, fieldwork experiences, or personal reflections about being a social work student. Submissions can also include research on or reflections about experiences with a particular program, practice area, population, model, or theory.

Praxis is publishes volumes annually and manuscripts are accepted throughout the year. Each submission is reviewed anonymously, and each reviewer will separately make a recommendation for rejection, revision, or acceptance into the journal.  Each reviewer will also provide the writer with helpful and constructive feedback on the article submitted.  If more articles are accepted than there is space, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final determination regarding which articles are ultimately published in the journal.

       • Provide your submission as a Microsoft Word document file (.doc)
       • Double-spaced
       • 12-point font
       • One-inch margins
       • No longer than 20 pages
       • Omit name(s) of author(s) from the manuscript
       • Name and contact information for the author(s) should only be on the title page

To submit your manuscript, please email Editor-in Chief, Amanda Walsh, at awalsh6@luc.edu. Clearly mark that it is a Praxis submission in the subject heading.
