Anne Figert came to Loyola University Chicago in 1991 after completing her Ph.D. at Indiana University at Bloomington. Her research interests include health, medicine, sociology of science, and gender.
Much of Professor Figert's writing has been published in books and journals relating to framing of women's health issues, scientific authority, and teaching sociology. She has also been actively involved in community based research with HIV/AIDS organizations.
