Unallowable Cost Policy
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-21 prohibits the University from charging federally funded agreements or requesting federal reimbursement for the following costs that A-21 refers as "unallowable costs". The primary document containing federal costing regulations for universities is Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-21, Principles for Determining Costs Applicable to Grants, Contracts, and Other agreements with Educational Institutions.
