Cura Personalis

The primary role of the Cura Personalis Committee is to oversee the Loyola Employee Emergency Fund (LEEF) program. Initially established through the Baumhart Fund, the Loyola Employee Emergency Fund is supported by donations from staff and faculty with the intent to "Help Us Help Each Other". Upon request, financial assistance may be provided to an employee through this emergency fund designed to help individual University employees (faculty and staff) recover financially from loss due to natural emergencies, accidents, catastrophes, deaths or illnesses, which are no fault of the employee.

Additionally, the Cura Personalis Committee organizes and promotes Lunch & Learn programs, introduces USC to new staff members at Loyola 101, mentor staff through the ‘Colleagues Who Care’ program, and seek to increase awareness of services and resources available to university staff.

The committee is responsible for the oversight of the following initiatives:

  • Bring awareness of USC to new staff members at Loyola 101 sessions
  • Host various Lunch & Learn programs
  • Develop and implement staff mentor-ship program, 'Colleagues Who Care'
  • Raise awareness of  LEEF (Loyola Employee Emergency Fund)
  • Promote services and resources available to staff
