What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
It goes without saying that I love working with my colleagues in the athletics department, but what I'm also enjoying as the years go on are the new people I get to know from other departments within our University. It feels great to see people like Father Garanzini and so many other faculty and staff at our games supporting our team.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
Last season we reached a program first, making it to the men's volleyball Final Four. This year we have been holding strong for eight weeks as #1 in the AVCA national rankings, which feels great to have our program validated by my coaching peers.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
Loyola's mission is very much intertwined with how I try to live my life overall. Plain and simple, I work hard to contribute to a greater good, to lead others towards health and success, and to treat others the way I would want to be treated.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
For the past 10+ years serving as head coach of the men's volleyball team, one consistent thing that motivates me is my team. I take great pride in being part of my players' and staff members’ development. Day in and day out, I have the opportunity to watch my players and assistant coaches transform and improve before my eyes. It is very inspiring. I am also motivated by my beautiful, growing family. I love being able to provide for my wife, daughter, and new baby on the way, all by doing a job I am passionate about.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
In three major ways: 1) Taking over the very program I played for at the young age of 23  2) Getting married to my beautiful wife, Andrea, at Madonna della Strada Chapel 3) Teaching my daughter, Sydney, how to howl like LU Wolf.

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
I have a passion for real estate. In my free time, I find great enjoyment in browsing the MLS for new homes on the market and dreaming up ideas for renovating investment properties, etc. I have the HGTV channel on in the background right now.
